In February 2009, a LIF lidar completed a short transect off the south-western coast of Taiwan. The campaign measured subtropical, sediment-influenced Case-2 water and is the only western Pacific entry in the current field archive.

Although the transect is brief, it extends the geographic and optical range of the record beyond the European, Black Sea, and Arctic waters represented by most other campaigns.
